Soft tissue grafting is a dental treatment that can be done for gingival recessed teeth. The tissue is taken from another part of the mouth and carefully applied to the exposed tooth roots. This application can be applied in all areas of the gum line that needs strengthening.
When an individual's gum line begins to recede, tooth roots can be exposed and cause a lot of damage. Teeth can become loose and sensitive, and in some cases even serious problems, up to bone loss. This can be caused by a variety of diseases, including brushing too hard, naturally thin gum tissue or gingivitis. A soft tissue graft, whatever the cause, can treat the damage and stop the stagnation.
